Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten
program is open to students turning five on or
before September 1st. This program continues to
strengthen your child's interest in literacy through
our
SRA/McGraw-Hill curriculum. Our
Private Kindergarten students get the benefit of
having a full day program in a nurturing educational
environment. The students are divided into small
groups of only three to four students with similar
strengths. This gives the teacher the ability to
best help each child develop based on their
individual needs. The students then rotate from
groups such as reading, writing, art, and math &
science.
The students get
individual attention with
their teacher daily, at the reading table as she helps
promote them into strong energetic readers. Students
also sharpen their math concepts as they bridge from
concrete concepts to abstract calculations from
Everyday Math by The University of Chicago. One of
the most important things our Kindergarten students
develop daily is a sense of personal responsibility
that will carry with them throughout life. They
begin to understand their social relationship within
the classroom, as well as their personal
responsibilities.
