Preschool
PRESCHOOL 1
AND 2 PROGRAMS
Focus at this stage is in language
development. We encourage development
through fun and interactive hands on experiences.
The children enjoy fun thematic units that intrigue
their curiosity and tickle their senses. They have
daily encounters with things that are wet, dry,
hard, soft, rough, and smooth, as they begin to
appreciate the attributes of the world around them.
PRESCHOOL 3 PROGRAM
Our Preschool 3 program is available for all
students that have turned three on or before
September 1st. This is when we begin our
SRA/McGraw-Hill curriculum. This program
primarily focuses on literary appreciation. We begin
to teach children the wonderful relationship between
written and spoken words, how these words come
together to form stories, and how these stories come
alive through drama, music, science, and hands on
creative activities. As we focus on these
activities, they begin to recognize and imitate
letters and numerals, strengthen their fine motor
control for painting, cutting, and writing, and
develop strong social bonds with their teachers and
peers. We also begin to focus on mathematical
concepts such as spatial relationships,
classifications, one-to-one correspondence, and
patterning with our Count on Math Curriculum.
